Meet The Heroes

The Funtastic Techno-CatAdd new comment

Real name: Roy Ravens

Age: 15

Ethnicity: Mixed race: Hispanic/American

Bio: Street-smart urban superhero Techno-Cat is very witty and upbeat, making all sorts of jokes while fighting foes. He never takes anything seriously and is purely innocent at heart. The city rarely recognizes him for his heroic acts (to a point that can get a little ridiculous) and his heroic one-liners don't always land the way he imagined in his head, but that doesn't stop him from being a wholesome, fun-loving superhero. Roy still has a lot to learn about being a hero and personal growth he overcomes in each stage of his journey, but you can rest assured he'll be facing every challenge with a smile and new joke material (that may or may not break the 4th wall).

Superpowers: His augmented reality i.n.s.t.i.n.c.t goggles provide him with a heads-up display that highlight the best route through every situation, giving him the ability to parkour and climb anything he sets his sights to. He also has various cat-themed gadgets (duh).

Fun facts: Roy's last name is the reason no one suspects him as a "cat-themed" hero. He also made up everyone's 'heroic titles'.

Add new commentFlamestrike the hottest hit

Real name: Travis Thompson

Age: 16

Ethnicity: American

Bio: A superhero social media influencer, Flamestrike is as absorbed with himself as he is his fandom (which isn't quite as big as he thinks). He's not always the brightest or witty, but you can always count on him to help save the day... then record a reel for his followers afterward. Flamestrike and Techno-Cat have a bit of a rivalry between each other; Flamestrike always showing off to try and prove he is the best hero. But the fact that he spends all this time trying to out-do the underdog (or undercat in this instance), shows that maybe there might be more to Flamestrike than his egotistical personality after all. Maybe.

Superpowers: The ability to generate a new element called 'Synthetic Flames', which unique properties make it look quite different than real fire and allows him to control its temperature. He can also fly and has mild (don't tell him we used that term) super strength.

Fun fact: Contrary to how he may act, Flamestrike isn't the most popular superhero in the city; the hero Larry: Defender Of The Stars outshines him by a million or so followers.

Add new commentKinetic Woman bringer of poetic justice

Real name: [Redacted]

Age: Early twenties

Ethnicity: Jamaican

Bio: Hero by day, Shakespearean actor by night?! That's right; Kinetic Woman is serving up cold-hard poetic justice to criminals and critiquing their grammar on the side. The oldest member of the team, she is more of a stickler for the rules, but also knows when to have fun and break a few. Kinetic Woman is brave, creative and has a strong moral compass which makes her the perfect hero to lead the team!

Superpowers: The ability to absorb any kinetic impact and convert it into super strength. Criminals beware; you better knock her out with your first punch, or she'll hit you back twice fold!

Fun fact: Kinetic Woman fills up notebooks with eloquent poetry in her downtime.

The Electrigal Electri

Real name: Emily Hwa-sang

Age: 18

Ethnicity: Texas-born Korean

Bio: Caught in a freak accident between a death ray and an electric utility line, Emily Hwa-sang was transformed on a molecular level in a way no one could have predicted. Being labeled as just another energy monster supervillain of the week, she was nearly arrested by the city during her accidental rampage to try to find energy to survive. If it wasn't for Brian Bayley (who would eventually become her boyfriend) taking her in and using his technical prowess to help her control her powers, she might have ended up in a rogues gallery. All it took was one person to give her a chance and she took it to heart to become one of the greatest, determined, electric superheroes the city has ever seen.

Superpowers: The ability to absorb energy and projected as electric beams of energy from her hands. Can generate electric holograms in a very small radius, forming her costume over her clothes in its signature Y2K aesthetic style and imprinting her hair with the iconic lightning mark. She can also fly and has enhanced strength.

Fun fact: Emily wanted her official superhero name to be Electrigal, but everyone calls her Electri instead (which is just the word electricity cut in half).

Blastpunk the (sigh)berpunk superhero

Real name: Brian Bayley

Age: 19

Ethnicity: Canadian/French

Bio: Blastpunk's aloof and passionless demeanor makes him stand out a little from the rest of the team, but he makes up for it with a dry sense of humor and sarcastic, skatepunk aesthetic. Suffering from a medical condition which causes tiredness and exhaustion all the time; Brian faces stopping a supervillain and waking up in the morning with the same sense of dread. An introverted punk at heart, Brian doesn't really like people, but he'll still save them. Brian calls himself a practical engineer, unlike his teammates whom he has to constantly remind he can't just invent time travel, he uses real world technology like 3D printers and parts he gets online to build his reasonably futuristic tech. But don't let his roguish personality and endless supply of edgy sarcastic t-shirts fool you; this slightly impulsive and bit of a rule breaker is a sympathetic superhero who stands up to any injustice before his eyes (when they're open, that is).

Superpowers: Cyber gauntlets that emit powerful blasts which can be used to propel objects, people--or himself-- in whatever direction he wants.

Fun fact: Brian is a vlogger who recreates tech and cosplays from various movies and tv shows on his small, personal channel.
