His first recorded crimes include leading the criminal group Techwear to steal various pieces of tech from all over the city using a device he had acquired called D.O.X. This AI contraption had the ability to steal and compile all of someone's personal information in one place which he used to gain the technology and power to control magma.
But pretty obsidian rocks and ember wasn't enough to make the mark he sought. He had to go big or go home if he were to get the attention of the greatest crime organization of the city and be allowed a place in their ranks. Never one to create something of his own, the soon-to-be-named Volcanic Lighting set his sights on a new power he could steal.
